tomfoolery is my hobby

I’ve talked about it before and I’ll talk about it again but the most natural consequence to my actions I have ever experienced was climbing higher up the pine tree in our backyard than our neighbor’s garage when only my mom was home. My mom. Who never learned how to climb a tree. My mom who came out of the kitchen when my sister fetched her to tell me I would have to wait for my father to come home from the community college 45 minutes away. Knowing FULL WELL that he knew I had read where the red fern grows recently and thus could say something along the lines of “treed yourself, huh?” When he DID finally get home and walk me down from six feet below me because those were the closest branches that would still hold him.

Alf finally got me to read animorphs, which I never read as a kid, and I am enjoying them but I have to say. I am fine when most of the kids describe Incorrect Animal Features but every time Cassie does it I am like SHE WOULD NOT FUCKING SAY THAT!!!

boarded a plane and Little Bird hesitated at the door for a moment which is unusual so I said “that’s unusual” and the flight attendant said, “😰 i hope she doesn’t know something….” which was riotously funny to me in that it was an absolutely insane thing for a flight attendant to say to a random passenger
